Informative, pleasant staff, poorly set out, as the history does not flow from room to room

So much to see. This place is like the TARDIS...small on the outside but higher inside. From prison cells to a lovely garden, wartime memorabilia and old photographs. And a friendly and reasonably priced café too! See you again 😊

Lovely little museum, packed with information from brush making to the Kett rebellion.
We were in Wymondham, searching for ancestors. While we wandered around they came up with an address we had been struggling to find.
Also, got to watch David, repainting the Wymondham town sign.
A great way to spend an hour or two.

A small museum with entrance fee in Wymondham with a long history in Norwich. Or you may go straight inside to the Cafe for cakes and coffee, take a break to refresh your mind there without paying fee for museum.

Wonderful place. Very friendly staff (volunteers) who go that extra mile to make your visit worthwhile. Unfortunately the tea room was not open on Sunday when I visited, but it looked cheerful and I will be sure to return!

Excellent museum, very well thought out and displayed, with good clear plaques explaining local history about the exibits and some of the local people that are included.Lovely little tea room with nice coffee and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit, very small car park at the rear but there is a small public car park, across the road at the 'Cental Hall', which is in walking distance.

Small but well presented local history of Wymondham situated within the "Bridewell" (a jail). There is a tea room; however, this is not open on Sundays.

Exploring Wymondham while on holiday in Norfolk, we decided to visit the Heritage Museum in the town. A wide ranging exhibition of its history, which was well presented and interpreted. Lots of thought provoking stories brought to life in a fascinating way; encouraging us to go back in time envisaging what the town was like for former generations. The presentation about the local brush making industry was especially interesting to us. We were impressed by the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, all of whom are volunteers apparently. There is also a community cafe on the site but, unfortunately, on this occasion we didn't have time to call in.

A fantastic local museum that is full of the history of Wymondham. Newly updated for reopening after Covid closure I am pleased to be the owner of a years pass. My daughter loves going and learning about our hometown the volunteers are lovely and knowledgeable and there are some great tactile things to do. There is a disabled parking space at the rear of the museum along with Wheelchair access at the rear (there is a doorbell to ring for entry). Using my manual wheelchair I can get all round the museum with the exception of the underground prison cells.
